'Uy, Pilipins!': Celebrities, personalities react to BINI's successful performance at Coachella weekend 2

BINI created a huge buzz on social media once again after delivering another superb show at Coachella!

Dubbed the nation’s girl group, BINI drew a massive crowd at Coachella’s second weekend. They kicked off their 10-song set with Strings, which included solo introductions of their name, as well as performing their hits like Cherry on Top and the ever-favorite Pantropiko.

Filipino fans, including celebrities and personalities in Coachella and at home (Couchella), made sure to express their love and support for the P-pop girl group.

Host Ai Dela Cruz noted how the girls were more confident this time, sharing how the second Coachella performance was "the BEST I’ve ever seen BINI perform!!!"

"Felt like they left all their nerves and self-doubts in Week 1 to completely OWN (and enjoy) the Mojave stage today! It was so nice seeing them have more fun today!" she wrote on X, adding how she also loved when the girls individually introduced themselves in their own Filipino languages.

"Congratulations to [BINI] and their entire team!!! So proud," she continued.

Several Kapamilya artists, including Piolo Pascual, Alexa Ilacad, AC Bonifacio, Kyle Echarri, social media star Niana Guerrero, couple Maja and Rambo Nuñez, and ABS-CBN's President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, were present at the Mojave crowd to support the girl group.

Anne Curtis, who came straight from New York City to attend Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book Gala, made sure to show her support for BINI.

"So proud of my bb girls. Literally sprinted 3 km just to make it straight from NYC!" she wrote on her Instagram Story, where she was seen dancing and recording BINI’s performance.

Actress Agot Isidro also showed her love to the group. "Second time onstage, still fresh! Mabuhay kayoooo!" she wrote on X.

Host Bianca Gonzalez-Intal also expressed her appreciation for how the girls individually introduced themselves in their own Filipino languages, including Gwen's Bicol, Aiah's Cebuano, and Maloi's Batangas Tagalog.

"Love that BINI greeted the Coachella crowd in our different dialects, then ended with a huge Philippine flag on stage," she wrote on X. "Maraming salamat [BINI]!"

Radio and TV personality Angelika Schemeing, better known as Angelicopter, shared BINI's aerial banner on her Instagram Story.

"Here with you BINI. Always [Love] Blooms," the banner read.

Content creator Toni Sia also expressed her support for the girls from the comfort of her home. "Galing nyo! [BINI] So so proud [for real]," she wrote.

Encantandia star Mikee Quintos also showed her support as part of the Mojave crowd.

Other notable personalities, including journalist Jeff Canoy, actress Chie Filomeno, and content creator Charlize Ruth, also showed their support on Coachella’s reel of BINI’s performance.

The P-pop act is an eight-member group composed of Aiah, Sheena, Stacey, Mikha, Gwen, Jhoanna, Maloi, and Colet. They were formed on ABS-CBN's talent search, Star Hunt Academy, in 2019 and officially debuted in 2021 with Born to Win. Some of their hit songs include Salamin, Salamin, Pantropiko, Cherry on Top, and Zero Pressure.

They are set receive the “Global Force” award at this year’s Billboard Women in Music, alongside Laufey, Kehlani, Zara Larsson, and others, on April 29.
