Savage x Fenty hires first little person as brand ambassador
Rihanna’s lingerie brand Savage x Fenty, known for its diversity and inclusivity, continues to smash barriers by hiring its first little person ambassador.
DC-based influencer Tamera McLaughlin announced the news through her Instagram and Twitter accounts.
In her photos shot by @photomaticsmith, McLaughlin wears a matching black lingerie from Savage x Fenty. She captioned it “The first Little Person Ambassador.”
Rihanna’s lingerie brand was launched in 2018 and has amassed millions of fans, many of them admire its messaging, which stands for diversity and inclusivity.
Women and men of different body types and skin color grace its social media accounts and website, wearing the brand’s products with extended sizes. Bras start at 30A up to 42H, and sleepwear range from XS to 3X.
The brand has also introduced a diverse lineup of models on its runway shows, which many have compared to the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows that mostly featured svelte ultra-exclusive “Angels.”Rihanna also stepped up a notch with inclusivity by introducing its menswear collection together with designer Christian Combs in October last year.
In 2017, Rihanna launched her beauty brand Fenty Beauty, which introduced a massive line of 40 shades of foundation that was well-received by beauty gurus and makeup enthusiasts alike.
Savage x Fenty’s fanbase continues to grow as the call for more inclusivity and diversity still echoes today.
Just this month, Forbes reported that Savage x Fenty is now worth $1 billion.
