Chanique Rabe of Namibia crowned Miss Supranational 2021; Philippines’ Dindi Pajares finishes in Top 12
Chanique Rabe of Namibia was crowned as Miss Supranational 2021 at the Strzelecki Park Ampitheater in Malopolska, Poland on Sunday, Aug. 22 (Aug. 21, Poland time).
The 24-year-old beauty queen succeeded Anntonia Porsild of Thailand, and bested 57 other candidates.
Karla Guilfú Acevedo of Puerto Rico is first runner-up, Thato Mosehle of South Africa is second runner-up, Valentina Sanchez of Venezuela is third runner-up, and Eoanna Constanza of Dominican Republic is fourth runner-up.
The other candidates who made it to the Top 12 are Louise-Marie Losfeld of Belgium, Aavriti Choudhary of India, Jihane Almira Chedid of Indonesia, Swelia Da Silva Antonio of Netherlands, Natalia Balicka of Poland, Michela Ciornea of Romania, and Dindi Pajares of the Philippines.
This year’s Miss Supranational pageant was supposed to be held late last year, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, Porsild’s reign was extended for almost another year.
Dindi’s Miss Supranational journey
Even if Pajares didn’t take home the Miss Supranational crown, she advanced to the Top 12 semifinals of the pageant.
Pajares was appointed by the Miss World Philippines organization to represent the country at the Miss Supranational after its coronation night was postponed due to quarantine restrictions.
Prior to her appointment, Pajares was no stranger to competing at beauty pageants. She represented Balanga, Bataan at Miss Philippines Earth 2011, Binibining Pilipinas 2016, and Binibining Pilipinas 2017.
This is the first time the Miss World Philippines Organization has chosen a candidate to represent the Philippines in the international pageant scene after it acquired the franchise from the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. last year.
