Jackson Wang named as Louis Vuitton's newest House Ambassador
Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has appointed singer Jackson Wang as its latest brand ambassador.
The announcement was shared on Twitter on Jan. 24, writing, "The Maison is pleased to announce that the world-renowned singer will be joining as new House Ambassador."
The Hong Kong-based artist attended Louis Vuitton's Menswear Fall 2023 show at Paris Fashion Week, looking dapper in an all-black suit, glasses, a lip piercing, and orange sneakers. At the show, Wang was seen interacting with the likes of Usher, Tyga, JJ Lin, and Jasper Liu.
"The reason why I chose this outfit was because first I want to wear something more simple, but then you have texture here at the bottom, that's something playful. And then the shade is more futuristic. I just want to be comfortable," he said about his outfit in a video interview.
"The brand Louis Vuitton to me means the beginning of the journey, a new chapter."
The GOT7 member has been making waves internationally, releasing his second solo album Magic Man in September 2022 and going on his first solo world tour. Wang was also announced as part of the Coachella 2023 lineup happening in April.
On the fashion front, Wang has worked with big names like Armani Perfume, Hennessy, Fendi, Ray-Ban, Pepsi, and Cartier. He also has his own entertainment agency Team Wang and fashion brand Team Wang Designs.
Wang is the second high-profile Chinese ambassador for Louis Vuitton after Kris Wu, who was accused of sexual abuse in 2021.
