Halloween is the perfect time to express one's creativity in spooky and enchanting ways.

The Opulence Ball, hosted by Ash Rye and Raymond Gutierrez, has finally returned this year. Since its launch in 2019, the annual event has provided a platform for well-known celebrities and personalities to showcase glitz, glamour, and eeriness in their eye-catching costumes.

Following its mythology theme, local stars came together on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the Marquis Events Place for a night of fun and fright. Here are some over-the-top looks that caught our eye.

Andrea Brillantes

Senior High star Andrea Brillantes channeled Lilith—a female demonic figure of Jewish folklore who was depicted as the mother of Adam’s demonic offspring following his separation from Eve, his first wife, according to Britannica. She completed her look with bold makeup, a stunning headpiece, and a live snake wrapped around her.

Vice Ganda

Vice Ganda portrayed the Greek goddess of the soul, Psyche, who is often represented as a beautiful woman with butterfly wings. The overlaying black and white butterflies from head to toe attached to her white long-sleeved furry-flowy gown took her Opulence Ball look to the next level.

James Reid

James Reid arrived at the affair as the god of the underworld, Hades. Wearing an all-black outfit, he completed his Halloween look with a headdress made unique with melted black candles on top. He went to the ball with his rumored girlfriend Issa Pressman, who dressed up as Persephone, the goddess queen of the underworld and the wife of Hades.

Hayden Kho

Hayden Kho seemingly channeled Helios, the titan god of the sun, at the affair. The celebrity doctor opted to go shirtless with a cape designed with sun rays on top. He matched it with white pants to balance his look.

Alodia Gosiengfiao

It looks like "Queen of Cosplay" Alodia went for a modern take on a goddess for the event by showing up in a flowy white gown, braided hair, and striking headgear. She also held a gold and black cane that elevated her queenly look.

Ruffa Gutierrez

Ruffa Gutierrez channeled Queen Cleopatra at this year's Opulence Ball. She wore a glittery gold gown, which she layered with wings that covered her body. Completing her look was a headdress accentuated with a cobra element, signifying Cleopatra’s death.

Marina Summers

Drag Race Philippines Season 1's first runner-up Marina Summers also graced the event. She appeared to channel a mythological statue in an all-white attire. The Pinoy drag superstar had white paint all over her body to seal the deal.
