Kathryn Bernardo trended on social media for sporting an upcycled polo made from used flour sacks with buttons from coconut shells. 

As first shared by a Twitter user, the actress wore the eye-catching top at the opening of Isla Amara—a boutique resort she founded with actor Piolo Pascual and other business partners in El Nido, Palawan. 

Perfect for casual days, the Pilmico Upcycled Polo is made from used sacks of Wooden Spoon All-Purpose Flour that’s being offered by one of the largest flour milling companies in the Philippines. Handmade by skilled seamstresses, it has 100% biodegradable buttons made from reclaimed coconuts. 

The sustainable garment is a product of Frankie General Store, which aims to “celebrate the unique creations of small town folk from the Philippines and beyond” through fashion items that are for ethical fair trade practices and environmental causes. 

You can get your own polo via the local store’s official website for P1,325. Since it’s handmade and repurposed, note that a “slight difference on color and placement of print is to be expected.”
