LOOK: Birkenstock and Manolo Blahnik come out with velvet, bejeweled slides worth P42,000!
Fashion girls, you might want to reconsider not getting Birks. You'll never fear wearing these comfy (and for some, not-so-stylish) slides again as German shoe manufacturer Birkenstock has tapped high-end shoe brand Manolo Blahnik for an unexpected collaboration we've never imagined.
On March 25, the famous sandal brand released the collection, which is available both in stores and online, and shared photos of their Boston clog and Arizona slides in pretty colors of fuschia and blue velvet and black leather.
"Introducing Manolo Blahnik for Birkenstock. A collaboration that showcases both brands' mastery of craftsmanship and creativity," it wrote in a post.
"We are delighted to welcome Manolo Blahnik into our world and announce our most sparkling collection to date. The maestro of mules and the doyen of decoration, Manolo Blahnik makes BIRKENSTOCK utterly his own, bringing to life an array of styles for life, well-lived," they added on the website.
Birkenstock 1774 turned two of its most iconic sandals into crystalised, plush velvet versions with the help of the maestro.
The prices range from $680 (P35,550) and go up to $810 (P42,347)—and currently, they're sold out!
Birkenstock 1774 is the German shoe brand's exclusive luxury line. Previously, it has collaborated with Dior, Proenza Schouler, Jil Sander, Stüssy, and more.
We still don't know yet Birkenstock Philippines will bring those here, but if you want to check it out, you may visit 1774.com and manoloblahnik.com.
