6 celebrity power couples who love to work out together
You know what they say, the couple that trains together, stays together.
When your better half is just as into health and fitness as you are, workouts become more fun. You get to do couple challenges, check on each other's form, and have somebody to drag your lazy ass out of bed—just ask these celebrity power couples who make duo workouts sexy.
Below, we've listed down some fit couples who like doing workouts together.
Camille Prats and VJ Yambao
She shared how they "challenge" and "motivate" one another and help each other reach their fitness goals. Prats also revealed that through this process, they were also able to improve their relationship as a married couple.
"Finding something to do together has helped us communicate better, pag madalas na kayong magkasama, you run out of things to talk about, everything becomes a routine," Prats shared.
Her advice is to "find something you can share with your partner that you are both passionate about."
"It helps to keep conversations flowing, you start by talking about common interests and then eventually talk about each other and how you can improve as partners. Ito yung part na hindi madaling pag usapan since we found our common ground, it led to opening more doors of topics that go beyond working out into relationship talks na minsan ang hirap i-open up sa isa't-isa," the actress and host added. "Then you'll realize you have everything you need in your partner, husband/workout buddy/ best friend."
Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero
Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero are known to be a super fit power couple. Their tip? Plan workout dates with your partner or family. "Staying fit and healthy is great for the entire family. Let’s get the kids involved as much as we can. It really doesn’t take much, no real equipment needed, just your imagination, maximum effort and most importantly don’t forget to smile and have fun," Montero wrote in a post.
Rob Mananquil and Maxene Magalona
Maxene Magalona and husband Rob Mananquil spent most of their time in lockdown last year in Bali, Indonesia, and even went on a 10-day Silent Retreat Vipassana together. For Magalona, yoga has helped her see the world in a new perspective. “Every time I practice, I always have an overwhelming feeling of gratitude afterwards. My heart gets filled with so much joy and luminosity that I just can’t help but thank God for breathing life into me," Magalona wrote. "Nature has become so magical. Animals are our friends. Human beings are all the same. I am one with the universe," she added.
Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna
Jump rope queen Ellen Adarna has taught her equally fit beau Derek Ramsay a few of her tricks. Now, they're trying to maintain their figure by doing workouts together (while sneaking a few kisses here and there)! Adarna revealed she doesn't count her jumps because she loses focus. Instead, she does five to eight rounds of 3-minute jump ropes, with a minute of rest.
Kim Fajardo and Carmela Tunay
There's no better way for Carmela Tunay and girlfriend Kim Fajardo to spend quality time together than working out together. The volleyball stars make it a point to "squeeze in workouts" in-between their busy schedules.
"These days, i've been focusing on myself more---new path but the same active lifestyle. Life after volleyball retirement, I've leaned towards marketing, streaming, hosting BUT of course still squeeze in my workouts," Tunay captioned in a post.
Jake Cuenca and Kylie Verzosa
Jake Cuenca and Kylie Verzosa are just #couplegoals when it comes to fitness and fashion. Just a peek at their Instagram feeds, and you'll see why. Verzosa loves doing pilates, while Cuenca is into cycling and cardio. But when they do work out together, Verzosa joins her boyfriend with some rounds of cycling.
