Versa World: Celebrating collaboration, creativity, and community
Versa World’s fashion show took place at the prestigious The Manila Hotel on Oct. 5, marking another milestone in the brand’s growing legacy. The event was born out of a shared vision to create a meaningful platform that uplifts, supports, and showcases emerging local designers and brands in the Philippines. More than just a fashion event, Versa World was designed to be a creative movement—one that celebrates Filipino artistry, craftsmanship, and the vibrant diversity of the local fashion scene.
The concept of Versa World was first conceived by Yna Uy, the founder of Versa and Versa World, whose deep passion for fashion and community inspired her to take the brand beyond its clothing line. Together with her sister, co-founder Yza Uy, the two visionary women combined their talents, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit to bring this project to life. Their shared goal was simple yet powerful: to build a stage where local talent could shine—from designers and stylists to models and creatives behind the scenes.
Through Versa World, Yna and Yza aim to bridge the gap between emerging designers and the mainstream fashion industry, giving them the exposure and recognition they deserve. Each show is carefully curated to feature a mix of independent and emerging brands, offering them a platform to showcase their identity, artistry, and craftsmanship to a broader audience.
Beyond the designers, Versa World also champions inclusivity and growth for models. The event provided aspiring and professional models alike with valuable runway experience, helping them build confidence, exposure, and networks within the fashion industry. This aligns perfectly with Versa’s core philosophy—celebrating diversity, empowerment, and authenticity in all its forms.
Versa World: Volume 2 was more than just a showcase of stunning collections; It was a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and community. It represented a new chapter in the evolution of Versa—from a fashion brand into a global platform that connects, inspires, and uplifts the next generation of Filipino fashion innovators and enthusiasts.

Beyond showcasing local talent, the initiative also aims to reach an international audience, fostering greater appreciation and exposure for Philippine fashion on a global stage. The founders aim to collaborate with and showcase emerging fashion designers who possess a distinctive and innovative vision.
We aspire to participate in fashion shows annually, with the hope of expanding to international platforms. Through these efforts, the founders seek to highlight the creativity and talent of Filipino designers and contribute to establishing Versa World as a globally recognized name in fashion. The inaugural fashion show was held at Hilton Manila on August 10, which featured three emerging fashion designers in collaboration with the clothing brand Versa. The showcase highlighted the elegance of Toile de Jouy, creatively blended with each designer’s unique signature style.
The second fashion show took place on Oct. 5 at The Manila Hotel, featuring another set of talented designers: Atelier Beati and Heleyna Bridal.
Hyacinth Callado served as the main Versa Muse for Versa World, which initially began as a clothing brand named Versa. With the celestial theme, “Runway to the Stars,” the show celebrated imaginative design and artistic interpretation within a star-inspired concept. Versa World was able to present and collaborate with local brands, namely: Olive D. (@hhmbyolive), Celebrasyon by Ruyag PH (@celebrasyon), and Sparkling Hue PH (@sparklinghue_ph), and also teamed up with Jimu (@iamjimu_), Ron Comia (@ron.comia), Nathan Castillo (@nateofficialph), and Chi Lois (@chi.loix) for photography and videography. Jennie Areglado (@makeupbyjennieareglado) continues to be the lead hair and makeup artist for all Versa World fashion shows.

Before Versa World, there was Versa (@wear_versa), a forward-thinking clothing brand that made its official debut in December 2024. To mark its launch, Versa hosted an exclusive fashion show at Dusit Thani, unveiling its first two signature collections: Euro Summer and Le Basics. The event brought together 12 models from various creative and professional industries, each embodying the brand’s vision of modern versatility and effortless sophistication.
What truly sets Versa apart is its innovative approach to design—every piece is reversible and multi-way, offering endless styling possibilities for any occasion. This thoughtful construction not only showcases the brand’s commitment to versatility and sustainability but also redefines what it means to build a capsule wardrobe. With fabrics that require no ironing and silhouettes that adapt seamlessly to your lifestyle, Versa pieces are designed for individuals who value both functionality and timeless style. The brand’s philosophy revolves around empowering wearers to express themselves freely through adaptable fashion that transitions with ease from day to night, work to leisure, and season to season.

And just recently, Versa proudly held another remarkable fashion show at The Manila Hotel, this time featuring an inspiring lineup of International Queens representing different countries around the world. The event celebrated not only style and creativity but also diversity, inclusivity, and empowerment—showcasing how Versa pieces transcend age, culture, and background. Each queen brought her unique personality and story to the runway, embodying Versa’s message that fashion is for everyone, no matter who you are or where you come from.
What makes Versa truly stand out is its ability to create clothing that complements all ages and all lifestyles—from the young and adventurous to the refined and classic. Its reversible and multi-way designs highlight the brand’s belief that versatility should be accessible to everyone, encouraging confidence and self-expression through pieces that effortlessly adapt to individual style.
In addition to its growing presence in the fashion scene, Versa is actively participating in pop-ups both within and outside Metro Manila, bringing its collections closer to more people across the country. One exciting upcoming event will be held on December 13–14, 2025, at The Hub House in Cebu (@thehubcebu). This special pop-up will feature Versa’s collaboration with Le Scarpe Manila (@iamlescarpe)—the partnership that first introduced the Euro Summer & Polka Dots Flats Collection, a blend of elegance and comfort that perfectly complements Versa’s signature aesthetic.
Through these events and collaborations, Versa continues to expand its community and reinforce its mission: to create inclusive, versatile, and timeless fashion that celebrates individuality, embraces diversity, and empowers people of all ages and backgrounds to express themselves with confidence and ease.
Meanwhile, Versa’s initial concept focused on offering reversible tops that could be worn in multiple ways, prioritizing function and versatility. As the idea developed, founder and designer Yna drew further inspiration from the aesthetic of Positano and the broader "Summer in Italy" vibe. She eventually merged these two ideas, resulting in two separate collections that debuted during the brand’s first official launch. This evolution allowed Versa to develop a unique identity, combining functionality with romantic, European-inspired toile elegance.
Before collaborating with public figures such as Alyssa Valdez, Hyacinth Callado, and Janeena Chan, the founder made sure they genuinely understood and resonated with the brand’s vision.
Her focus has never been on physical appearance. Rather, prioritizes one's individuality, confidence, and authenticity—qualities that reflect Versa’s values, and the team is beyond grateful to have Hyacinth Callado as the main model and to strut the fashion show for Versa and Versa World.
Versa is more than just a clothing brand—it is a movement that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and self-expression. Versa doesn’t conform to a specific race, skin tone, or body type; instead, it embraces the beauty of individuality. The brand is deeply committed to empowering women of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, helping them feel confident, comfortable, and radiant in their own skin. Every design is thoughtfully created to highlight the wearer’s natural confidence, proving that true style knows no boundaries.
At its core, Versa’s mission is to simplify yet elevate everyday dressing through a carefully curated line of capsule wardrobe essentials. Each piece is designed with versatility and functionality in mind, allowing women to express different facets of their personality through reversible and multi-way designs. By offering multiple styling options in a single garment, Versa gives its customers the freedom to create countless looks from fewer items, promoting smarter and more mindful consumption. This approach not only maximizes value but also reflects the brand’s dedication to sustainability and conscious consumerism, encouraging a shift toward a wardrobe that is both purposeful and enduring.
Ultimately, Versa aims to reshape the way people think about fashion—not as something fleeting or exclusive, but as a form of everyday empowerment that belongs to everyone. Through its commitment to inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation, Versa continues to champion a new era of fashion where every woman, regardless of age, background, or body type, can feel seen, celebrated, and beautifully herself.
