Annual gastronomic ranker Asia's 50 Best Restaurants has released its 51-100 list, placing Toyo Eatery in the No. 71 spot and Celera, a newcomer in the selection, at No. 100.

"Run by husband-and-wife team Jordy and May Navarra, Toyo Eatery prioritizes Filipino produce and people, fostering long-term relationships with local farmers and artisans," wrote the international guide.

Toyo Eatery, located at The Alley at Karrivin on Chino Roces Ave. Ext., Makati, has been a popular fine-dining Filipino restaurant for years now. Its specialty is creating modern dishes using local ingredients, capitalizing on traditional fermentation and preservation techniques.

Celera, which sits on Pablo Ocampo Sr. Ext., Makati, is appearing in the list for the first time.

"Make sure to come hungry for dishes such as BBQ – white Peking duck and chicken meatballs with kiniing (a local cured and smoked pork), Baguio strawberries, lime and shiso leaf," wrote the guide of Celera.

Run by chef-owners Nicco Santos and Queenie Vilar, Celera is just a little over a year old.

"For a restaurant this young, it already feels like a big moment. A reminder that the work we pour into each day is finding its way," wrote the restaurant on Instagram to mark its inclusion in the list.

"Celera has always been about people—our team who show up every day with excitement and heart, our suppliers and producers whose work shapes every dish we put out, and the guests who choose to spend their evenings with us," it added.

Both Toyo Eatery and Celera received one Michelin Star each in 2025 in the first-ever Michelin Guide Philippines 2026
