#AribaRabiya: Catriona Gray, Pia Wurtzbach show love for Rabiya Mateo’s National Costume run
With the entire country cheering Rabiya Mateo during her 2021 Miss Universe run, the Philippine’s former reigning queens are also showing their support for her during the pageant’s preliminaries today, May 14.
In a tweet last night, 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach sent some love for Rabiya with the trending hashtag #ArribaRabiya.

She also retweeted the instructions on how to vote for Rabiya's Philippine flag-inspired national costume designed by the late Rocky Gathercole.
Meanwhile, 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray also showed full-on support for Rabiya in a tweet sent out the night before the preliminaries.
Friends! Let's send prayers up for our very own Ms Philippines #RabiyaMateo tonight as she prepares for the Closed Door Interview and National Costume show for @MissUniverse ?? happening in the next 24hrs!! #AribaRabiya ?

Besides the tweet, Catriona also shared her post via Instagram stories and tagged Rabiya's Instagram account.
"Laban @rabiyamateo!"
This comes after comments that Catriona had not shown support for Rabiya in the days leading up to the competition, to which she defended herself, saying that "not everything is on display on social media."
“I’ve reached out to (Rabiya Mateo) throughout her journey privately," Catriona had said via Instagram comments.
If Rabiya wins the Best National Costume today, she will join Charlene Gonzalez and Gazini Ganados as the third Filipina to bag the award.
