Natori 2025: A fusion of heritage and modernity
The Natori Fall 2025 Trunk Show celebrated the brand’s unmistakable craftsmanship and storied heritage at Medusa at The Palace. The event opened with captivating dance performances by Natori-clad dancers, their fluid movements offering guests a living preview of the season’s silhouettes and the dynamic spirit behind the collection available at Rustan’s.
Many attendees arrived wearing their own favorite Josie Natori pieces, lending the affair a personal touch of loyalty and style. Guests enjoyed exclusive access to shop for the collection on site, allowing them to appreciate the artistry, refinement, and meticulous attention to detail that have defined the house for nearly five decades.
Bumping into Maja Olivares Co, we learned that her son Ravi Co, Parsons School of Design alumnus and junior eyewear designer at Essilor Luxottica NY, designed the capsule eyewear collection for 2025 for Natori and it is proudly made in the Philippines.
This season, Natori explores the layered aesthetic of Japanese tradition alongside the avant-garde revolution, all while embracing a distinctly modern sensibility. The Fall 2025 palette plays with earthy neutrals as a soft foundation, punctuated by expressive painterly florals and brushstrokes that inject movement and energy. Warm ruby shades harmonize with cool teal tones to create a contemporary feminine allure.
Innovative, seasonless fabrics—soft, flirty, fluid, or sculpturally structured—anchor the line, while Shibori-inspired Japanese taffeta enriches the textural range. Cultural details, 3-D embellishments, and shimmering sequins highlight the brand’s mastery of ornamentation. The collection beautifully balances effortlessness and sophistication, blending the structured drama of French couture with the pioneering spirit of Japanese design—an ode to Natori’s enduring vision of artistry and cultural fusion.
