The activities for the 70th Miss Universe have commenced. This means the candidates are also starting to go on full swing with their preparations and, most especially, their social media posts to create buzz for their quest for the crown.
And over the weekend, Philippine delegate Beatrice Luigi Gomez has been going all out, with the official Miss Universe Philippines Instagram page posting photos of the 27-year-old Cebuana beauty queen that she has what it takes to win.
The photos show Gomez wearing a hot pink dress with pleats and folds reminiscent of a rose in bloom, made by designer Ehrran Montoya. "Beatrice in full bloom,” the caption for the photo says. Other sets of photos see Gomez serving body and legs in a black one-piece bodysuit with flower-patterned black lace tights and a black one-piece swimsuit.
Empire Philippines also posted a video of Gomez as she was leaving the Philippines for Israel last week.
In the interview, she said the experience of winning the Miss Universe Philippines crown has been so overwhelming. "But at the same time, I enjoy every experience. I learned a lot from all of my mentors," Gomez said.
Gomez won the Miss Universe Philippine crown in September, giving her around two months to prepare for the international pageant. "I've done my trainings in the past two months... I'm excited to show to the entire universe what the Filipinas are made of," she added. (Chuck Smith)
