The activities for the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Israel have commenced. And first on the list of this year’s beautiful delegates: enjoying the sights of the event’s host country.
Philippine delegate Beatrice Luigi Gomez, along with other delegates of the upcoming Miss Universe 2022, went on a tour of Jerusalem’s Old City. Gomez was seen donning a chic pink terno suit.
This is the third day since Gomez and the majority of the pageant’s delegates have arrived in Israel—just after the country closed the borders to foreigners due to the Omicron variant of COVID-19. The Filipina beauty queen arrived in Israel on Sun, Nov 28 and was isolated for a day until her PCR test declared her negative for the coronavirus.
Before the official activities, Gomez was seen with Thailand’s Anchilee Scott-Kemmis in athleisure wear. Voltaire Tayag said Gomez’s casual get-up—as delegates are expected to be dressed to the nines even outside the pageant’s competition activities—was due to her missing luggage (Gomez’s team has since recovered the missing luggage).
Gomez was also snapped wearing an art deco print dress by designer Francis Libiran.
The delegates of the 70th Miss Universe are expected to travel to the resort city of Eliat, the pageant’s host city, later this week.
