Miss World Philippines begins search for 2022 beauty queens
It's pageant season once again as Miss World Philippines organization opens their auditions for aspiring beauty queens.
Through their social media accounts, the pageant org posted on Feb. 11 officially announcing the start of Miss World Philippines applications with the caption, “Exceptional beauty. Substance. Purpose.”
Those interested to join are required to fill out and send the application form to [email protected].
The submission of entries for Miss World Philippines will close on Apr. 8 and will begin its screening on Apr. 19.
The pageant’s final round will be held on May 29, making this year’s applications and coronation night earlier than the previous year, which was held on Oct. 3.
The organization also set the following qualifications for their pageant:
- At least 17 to 26 years old
- At least 5’4” in height
- Filipino citizen and Philippine Passport holder
- Female, never been married nor borne children
- A person with pleasing personality, good moral character, grace, and poise
The social media post included logos for other titles that the organization crowns at Miss World Philippines: Miss Supranational, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Tourism, Miss Eco Teen International and Miss Environment International.
The titles for Miss Eco International and Miss Multinational have yet to be confirmed if they are still included in this year’s pageant.
Current reigning Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez has yet to compete in the international competition on Mar. 16 as the pageant was postponed last December due to COVID-19 cases among the participants.
