On the hunt for a new app where you can find your significant other? Viber has got you covered with its new dating section.

The instant messaging application will soon be rolling out its so called "Viber Dating" service where you'll be able to "meet genuine people and make real connections." The feature can be accessed through the "More" option on your app.

PhilSTAR L!fe checked out the feature, which is still in its beta stage. We learned that once you sign up for it, the app will let you secure a spot on the official Viber Dating waitlist. Access is continuously being rolled out daily to a select group of users.

Your profile will only be visible to people using Viber Dating and won't affect your regular account on the platform. It includes your name, birthday, gender, sexual preference, up to six recent pictures of yourself, and your bio.

You can also choose your goal for the feature—whether you want to find a relationship, look for friends, or simply have some fun.

While you can edit your sexual preference and goal afterwards, Viber suggested putting your real name as you won't be able to change it later. It also suggested keeping your bio "brief, positive, and interesting."

"Viber Dating is all about making great connections. Add conversation starters like quotes and hobbies to catch the attention of people like you," the app said.

Viber is set to launch the full dating feature soon.

"As we finalize everything, we are actively collecting feedback to ensure it meets your expectations. Rest assured, we'll keep you updated right here. Stay tuned for the exciting launch!" it added.

Viber was developed in 2010 by Cyprus-based Viber Media, which was bought by Rakuten in 2014
