Marketing company offers paid 'Tinder' leaves to employees
No time to date because of work? Not in this company!
A marketing firm in Thailand offers its employees an unconventional benefit called "Tinder leave" to boost work-life balance.
In their LinkedIn post, Whiteline Group announced that it will grant workers paid time off to pursue romantic connections on the dating app until December 2024.
“Our employees can use Tinder leave for dating with someone,” the company wrote in the post.
To assist employees in their dating lives, the company provides six months of complimentary Tinder Gold and Platinum memberships. These subscriptions offer additional dating app features such as viewing mutual likes, expanding your dating pool to a global level, and initiating conversations before matching.
The more premium subscription, Tinder Platinum, also allows users to personalize Superlikes with messages, receive priority placement in potential matches' feeds, and benefit from a monthly boost to increase profile visibility.
Employees who have completed their probationary period and worked for the company are eligible for Tinder leave between July 9 and Dec. 31. They are required to send a week’s notice before using the unconventional benefit.
Whiteline Group's paid dating leave policy originated from a simple conversation between employees. When management heard an employee expressing frustration about balancing their personal life with work, they saw an opportunity to innovate. Research indicating the link between happiness and work satisfaction further solidified the decision to offer employees time off for dating.
