DJ Mo Twister and Angelika Schmeing tie the knot in Iceland
Disc jockey Mohan Gumatay “DJ Mo Twister” and Angelika Schmeing got married in Iceland yesterday, Jun. 16.
As posted on his Instagram account, they had scheduled the wedding “a long time ago” but was cancelled due to the weather in Iceland.
Mo Twister said on Instagram: “Here’s a tip about getting married in a far away wilderness like Iceland. Have not one but two backup plans. For the second time we have been here together, things we had scheduled a long time ago were cancelled (because of ) the weather.”
He explained the extreme weather ripped his bride Angelika Schmeing’s dress and drenched Gumatay’s clothes.
“Where we scheduled to have our ceremony, changed due to a summertime snow storm. Angelika’s wedding dress was ripped by the weather and the elements. My clothes drenched. We moved to several locations, the kids nearly froze to death,” he explained.
Gumatay also mentioned their kids had to stay in the hotel because they could not handle the cold weather.
When they were left alone, a “bright, calm, and sunny spot” rose and their videographer led them the way to the spot where they will be wed.
“Insane and insanely romantic. It was incredible. Our amazing videographer did an awesome job leading the way. And yay! I get to finally wear a wedding ring!! I love you @angelicopter, no wedding hashtag,” he said at the end of his post.
He then posted a picture of his wife with a caption from the American series, The Game of Thrones, referencing his wife as Khaleesi, the queen of dragons. “My Khaleesi calling on the dragons.”
