Philippine delegate Beatrice Luigi Gomez was a vision of perfection as she, along with other contestants of the 70th Miss Universe pageant, went on an adventure in the desert while exploring Eilat, Israel on Sunday, Dec 5.
The 27-year-old Filipina beauty queen stood out during their Gal Bamidbar ATV tour. The vibrant graphic print on her shorts set paired with the bold red of her blazer popped really well against the Eilat desert vista.
The Miss Universe girls were sent to various places in Israel in batches. For the desert tour, Gomez was seen with Armenia's Nane Avetisyan, with whom she shared an ATV.
Gomez has been touring Israel, along with 79 other contestants of the Miss Universe competition since her arrival in the country on Nov 28.
This is part of the competition’s pre-pageant activities, as the event is meant to promote Israel, particularly the pageant’s host city Eilat, as a top tourist destination. The country’s ban on travelers amid the Omicron variant did not hamper plans for the 70th Miss Universe pageant, as contestants were given special waivers to enter the country.
Previously, Gomez visited the King David Hotel to have tea with the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lion. She also attended a fashion show showcasing Haboydem and their sustainable dresses.
But it’s not all fun and games for the girls of this year’s Miss Universe. Official pre-pageant activities—those that will determine the semifinalists on the coronation night on Monday, Dec 13—are expected to begin this week.
