For some people, getting older means losing the joy and excitement of youth, but not for Tuesday Vargas.

As the actress and comedian celebrated the eve of her 42nd birthday on Nov. 9, she took to her Instagram to pen a candid message about how she feels blessed in her 40s.

She opened that while the budding youths of today are impressive for already having dual degrees and having the energy to take the world by storm, society should also turn their attention to success that only comes with age.

"Our culture places such a premium on youth that we forget that for most people, around 40 is when success sets in—more senior job titles, better pay, unshakeable, well-earned confidence. Extreme professional success in youth is newsworthy because it is rare," Tuesday wrote.

She continued, "Finding yourself, living your life to the fullest, regaining your worth is a 40-year old’s claimed destiny. At this stage your cest la vie attitude becomes a make or break situation. The allure of youth is fading, time who was our ally before is now withering."

Tuesday confessed that she had always been in a rush to achieve something great in the past, which put a heavy burden on her shoulders.

"This idea of a perfect timeline placed so much pressure on me that it made me this tenacious. No regrets here, I’ve done and seen more than my fair share and I am just getting started," she wrote.

She took the time to elaborare the achievements she accomplished at her age, including learning how to paint, starting two new businesses, entering a new network and landing regular jobs alongside her fellow celebrities, creating her two bands, and most importantly, finding love.

"This is all because I decided that the perfect timeline does not exist. I can be my best self at any age and there is no better time than now," the actress highlighted.

She ended her message by praising the youth for being powerful and capable and advising them that when they also reach their 40s, they will have gained hard-earned lessons in life.

"Your 40s are when you experience life on your own terms, as you confidently navigate through the world without being confined by the restrictions of others. So be kind to yourself," she wrote.

Tuesday is currently keeping herself busy as a freelance artist sharing her talents mostly on GMA Network and TV5 Network, but she has also worked with ABS-CBN in the past. She recently joined as a guest host for GMA's variety show TiktoClock, which is led by Kim Atienza, Pokwang, and Rabiya Mateo.
