Filipino tennis star Alex Eala has dominated headlines over the past few months for her international outings.

At the Miami Open in March, the then-19-year-old Eala wrote history after defeating Australian Open champion Madison Keys. She's the first Filipino player to beat a Top 10 opponent since the ranking system was introduced 50 years ago.

Her winning streak continued until the semifinals, where she lost to America's Jessica Pegula.

In any case, Eala ended her Miami Open journey with a bang, securing historic victories against three Grand Slam winners in Jenna Ostapenko, Keys, and Iga Swiatek. She became the first Filipino to reach the final four of a Women's Tennis Association 1000 event and make it to the top 100 of the WTA rankings.

She has since participated in other tournaments, some of which were her debut outings, winning some and losing some. In August, she made history again as the first player from the Philippines to win a Grand Slam singles match at the US Open. Last Sept. 7, she won the Guadalajara 125 Open and became the first Filipino to win a WTA singles title.

With all of Eala's achievements, one may wonder how much she has made from these tournaments in 2025 alone.

According to the WTA website, Eala has earned $876,077 (P50 million) in tournaments, including doubles.

Her lowest winnings were about $900 (P51,300) after getting eliminated early.

Her early exits still earned her huge cash prizes. In Grand Slam events like the Roland Garros and Wimbledon, Eala bagged nearly $100,000 (P5 million). A round of 64 finish at the US Open, meanwhile, netted her $154,000 (P8.7 million).

Eala's biggest payout to date was over $300,000 (P17 million) for her semifinal finish at the Miami Open.

But some aren't big pay days, like the Guadalajara 125, where Eala won $15,500 (P880,000).
