What to do and what not to do during Mercury retrograde
The last Mercury retrograde of the year has begun.
In case you didn't know, Mercury is in retrograde from Nov. 10 to Nov. 30 (Philippine time). The planet appears to move backward in the sky during this period. What does this mean in astrology? According to Resti Santiago a.k.a. Filipino Astrologer, it's a time when Mercury "governs communication, thought processes, transportation, and even technology."
"When Mercury is in retrograde, misunderstandings, errors, and minor mishaps tend to happen more often," he told PhilSTAR L!fe.
The astrology expert, however, stressed there's no need to fear it as it's a regular cosmic event that occurs about three times a year. "It also doesn’t affect everyone the same way," he added.
It's absolutely possible to minimize the challenges that may come, per Santiago.
He suggested avoiding the following activities during Mercury retrograde:
- signing business deals
- hiring new employees
- holding board meetings
- starting a new business
- dealing with someone new
- buying new machines, appliances, or gadgets
When it comes to what to do, Santiago said one must remember SIR:
- Slow down: Be at ease and know there's no need to rush things.
- Introspect: Examine your thoughts and feelings.
- Review: See how you can do things better.
"It's best to double-check details or computations we're working on and practice extra clarity in our communication until the retrograde has passed," he added.
