Looking to fill your free time with something useful? Here’s an idea.

Learning is one of the best ways to maximize your free time. Not only can it cure your boredom—it can also bring out a better version of yourself. There are a lot of learning opportunities available online, and some of them even come without a cost.

Harvard University, for one, has a catalog of free online courses you can take at your own pace and convenience.

Just a look through its official website and you’d be welcomed to around 102 courses from 11 subject areas such as arts, business, computer science, data science, education and teaching, health and medicine, humanities, mathematics, programming, science, and social sciences.

The free online courses have different schedules and periods, ranging from one week to up to 12 weeks. They also have three difficulty levels: introductory, intermediate, and advanced.

You may find the complete list of Harvard University’s free online courses here. From there, you can click your chosen program and sign up for an account to enroll.

The prestigious school allows you to get free access to the materials for each course, including videos and readings. You may opt to pay an additional fee to earn a verified certificate of completion that you can include in your resume.
