If you’re taking extra steps in your self-care this month—or simply have a little extra to spare—consider supporting initiatives that help raise awareness and extend assistance to people affected by breast cancer.

Every October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month highlights the experiences of patients and survivors while encouraging greater awareness of the disease. Breast cancer remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the Philippines. According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide. In 2024, around 2.4 million women were diagnosed, and 694,000 died from the disease.

As part of this collective effort, brands and businesses are rolling out special promos and initiatives that let you enjoy a little something while extending support to cancer-related causes. Check them out below:

St. Luke's Medical Center

St. Luke’s Center for Comprehensive Breast Care is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a special promo this October. From Oct. 1 to 31, 2026, patients who book a Digital Mammography session will receive a complimentary pair of pink ribbon earrings. Note that the earring design varies.

The Medical Center

The Medical City is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with free health services and a month-long donation drive this October.

More from L!fe

From Oct. 15 to 17, patients can avail of free physical examinations conducted by the medical center’s experts and staff, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Throughout October, the hospital is also accepting hair donations for wigs that will be given to patients undergoing cancer treatment. Those who wish to donate can visit the Breast Center on the 6th floor of The Medical City Ortigas. Donated hair should be 12 to 14 inches long and may be treated, straightened, bleached, colored, or rebonded. Severely damaged hair, however, will not be accepted.
