Former actor John Wayne Sace arrested for allegedly shooting own friend
Ex-actor and dancer John Wayne Sace was arrested for allegedly killing his friend in a shooting incident.
According to Eastern Police District officer-in-charge Col. Villamor Tuliao, the incident happened at Feliciano Street, Barangay Sagad in Pasig City, around 7:30 p.m., on Monday, October 28.
Sace was caught in a motel near the crime scene by the Pasig City police follow-up unit an hour after the incident. He will be undergoing a paraffin test at the Eastern Police District and later will be detained in Pasig Police headquarters.
As of writing, the suspect's motive has not yet been determined, but as per the initial interview with Sace, he and the victim had a certain conflict in the past.
Prior to his arrest, Sace posted on his Facebook account, saying, “Nagtutulak kayo ng droga ng palihim diba? Yun mga buhay na sinira nyo? May kalaban laban ba? Yung mga ninakawan nyo? Meron? Wag kayo pavictim. Ilang beses nyo na ko pinagplanuhan katulad kagabi??? Ha Diba? Pag umalis ako papatayin nyo pamilya ko."
Sace is a former child actor who was part of the ABS-CBN network's circle of homegrown talents, Star Magic.
He starred in various TV and film shows, including It Might Be You (2003), Spirits (2004), Dekada '70 (2002), Guns and Roses (2011), FPJ's Ang Probinsyano (2022) and Pamilya Sagrado (2024).
Aside from acting, he is a member of ASAP boy dance group "AnimE" along with Rayver Cruz, Rodjun Cruz, Mhyco Aquino, Sergio Garcia, Emman Abeleda, and Mico Aytona.
In 2016, he was involved in a shooting incident and was a part of the Pasig City police's drug watch list.
