Newly installed PNP chief Sinas leads Voltes V workout

Social media lit up today after a video of Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas, on his first day as Philippine National Police chief, leading a four-minute workout routine with the Voltes V theme was uploaded on social media.

As shown in the video below, Sinas led his personnel through the routine composed of eight short exercises.

The video was uploaded by the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) Fitness Team. The entire exercise was carried out while the theme song of the anime TV series Voltes V, which is a favorite of Sinas, was playing in the background.

Prior to the video upload, Sinas spearheaded the launch of the routine at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City on Monday.

During his previous stint as NCRPO director, Sinas used the concept of Voltes V in terms of different stakeholders—such as the police, the community, and government— volting in to achieve one goal. Sinas became controversial after he was charged for violating quarantine protocols for his birthday serenade party called “mañanita.”

Before the Voltes V workout, the NCRPO Fitness Team has also previously uploaded other fitness workout videos.

This one is a four-minute "dance fitness" workout

They also have a dance rendition of the COVID-19 jingle by the Department of Health.

They also have a take at the Switch It Down dance craze.

And but of course, they also have a cover of the viral Tala dance craze.
