LOOK: Fort Santiago is holding a free guided tour this Halloween night
A local twist to end the spooky season.
The Intramuros Administration will be offering a free guided night tour of Fort Santiago this coming Oct. 31 in commemoration of Undas 2022.
Known as one of the most prominent historical sites in the country, Fort Santiago is one of the prime examples of Old Manila wherein soldiers and victims of war had their final resting place.
With its history in mind, Intramuros Administration is reminding the attendees of the free night tour to respect the area come Oct. 31.
"Fort Santiago is a sacred ground. Countless have suffered died here as victims of war and other crimes against humanity. To ensure that the sanctity of the place is maintained, only activities that promote remembrance, commemoration, and contemplation are allowed," their site reads.
Visitors are also encouraged to offer flowers at Fort Santiago's White Cross memorial, the final resting place of the 600 souls who perished in the dungeons during World War II.
Meanwhile, the free guided tour is available for all Fort Santiago entrance ticket holders on the night of the 31st. The entrance fee is priced at P75, with a P50 discount rate for children, senior citizens, and PWDs.
The guided tour will be available from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and reservation is not required, as guests only need to head to the Intramuros Visitors Center inside Fort Santiago to avail.
