Heads up, motorists! Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) is set to hold its 110th anniversary in Ciudad de Victoria on July 27 so expect heavy traffic along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

The NLEX Corporation notified the public about the upcoming event in an advisory urging motorists to consider other routes and anticipate the high volume of cars in the area.

INC's celebration, taking place at the Philippine Arena Complex, will happen from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

"Please expect high volume of traffic in the area during this date. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes and allow more time for travel," the advisory read.

"Traffic personnel will be stationed along NLEX-covered areas to provide assistance."

Ciudad de Victoria is located along NLEX in Bocaue, Bulacan.

In March, Sen. Robin Padilla heard proposals declaring the founding anniversary of the religious group a holiday. However, Department of Labor and Employment Undersecretary Felipe Ecargo said declaring holidays must strike a balance between workers' benefits and maintaining the country's attractiveness to investors.

According to a 2020 census, there are about 2.8 million individuals who are Iglesia ni Cristo, making it the third largest religious affiliation in the country.
