Kris Aquino called out to her mother, the late president Cory Aquino, for courage amid her medical condition.

In an Instagram story on Friday, Jan. 26, the multimedia personality shared a selfie showing the rashes on her cheeks.

“Unfortunately, I’m suffering from a bad flare and very clogged sinus passages,” she wrote in the caption.

Kris then mentioned how even after nearly 15 years, any child who has lost their mom will agree that they still miss them so much.

Kris noted how Cory underwent procedures, chemotherapy and radiation when she was battling cancer. The former president was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2008 and died on Aug. 1, 2009, due to cardiac arrest. She was 76.

“I keep going on because I saw how much my mom endured,” Kris said, “because she felt her kids weren’t ready and needed time to accept that she’d no longer be around.”

She then asked for Cory’s help with her own health battle.

“Mom, may I have even just 20% of your courage and ability to surrender to God’s will?” Kris said. “It’s getting more difficult to stay strong.”

On Jan. 21, Kris shared a health update where she said her battle is "becoming more complex" as she started showing symptoms of another autoimmune connective tissue disease which she said is likely an initial stage of lupus.

She’s battling five other autoimmune diseases which she's getting treatment for at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
