Stars are lining up for our country's bet!

Miss Earth Philippines 2023 Yllana Marie Aduana once again made an impression in the pageant as she landed a spot in the Top 12 Best National Costume category.

The 25-year-old beauty queen is one of the three delegates for the Asia and Oceania continental group alongside Myanmar and Vietnam.

This feat enabled her to secure more votes as she is entitled to double voting power in the Miss People's Choice competition from Dec. 20 at 9 p.m. to Dec. 21 at the same time (GMT+7).

As of Wednesday, Dec. 20, the country's bet is among the top five candidates of the Miss People's Choice category, whose winner will be granted a direct entry to the semifinals.

You can still help Yllana secure the award by voting on the website until Dec. 22, 6 p.m. (7 p.m. Philippine time).

Other candidates in the Top 12 for the Best National Costume award are from Madagascar, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Bolivia, Paraguay, Venezuela, Albania, Bulgaria, and Germany.

During the preliminary competition, the licensed medical laboratory scientist paid tribute to the Philippine mythological goddess Maria Makiling for her national costume made by renowned Filipino designer Patrick Isorena.

The Laguna-born beauty queen captivated the audience with her outfit, composed mainly of repurposed materials like food containers transformed into delicate leaf forms.

She entered the stage wearing a structured skirt that resembled the famed mountain in Luzon and later revealed a flowy white train.

Yllana recently clinched the Best Bikini award in the international pageant with her shimmering red-orange two-piece set styled by Ken Batino and Jevin Salaysay.

This year's Miss Earth will be on Dec. 22 and will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City's largest convention center in Vietnam.

The prestigious competition will see Mina Sue Choi, who made history as the first beauty queen from South Korea to win the title, crown her next successor.

Yllana vies for the country's fifth Miss Earth crown following Karen Ibasco's win in 2017. Other Filipinas who brought home the crown are Karla Henry, who first won the crown in 2008, followed by Jamie Herell in 2014, and Angelia Ong in 2015.
