PH bet Yllana Aduana wins Miss Earth 2023 Best Bikini
Miss Earth Philippines Yllana Marie Aduana took home the Best Bikini award, thanks to her confidence and her eco-conscious swimsuit.
In a social media post, the Miss Earth organization announced the news alongside the photo of the 25-year-old beauty queen wearing a fully beaded swimsuit by Ken Batino and Jevin Salaysay.
This feat enabled Yllana to secure more votes as she is entitled to get double voting power in the Miss People's Choice competition from Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. to Dec. 20 at the same time (GMT+7).
As of Monday, Dec. 18, the country's bet is among the top five candidates of the Miss People’s Choice category, whose winner will be granted a direct entry to the semifinals.
You can still help Yllana secure the award by voting on the website until Dec. 22, 6 p.m. GMT+7 (7 p.m. Philippine time).
During the preliminary round, the Laguna-born beauty stunned in a shimmering red-orange two-piece set, with intricate beadwork and bold color that accentuated her sculpted physique.
Yllana previously admitted that the swimsuit competition has always been one of her favorite pageant segments as it portrays the discipline and dedication of a candidate toward achieving a body goal.
"You know, swimsuit competition has always been one of my top fave segments in the competition because it shows the audience and judges the amount of discipline and dedication to fitness the candidate has, and I hope I was able to show you that," the licensed medical laboratory scientist wrote in an IG post.
This year’s Miss Earth will be on Dec. 22 and will be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City’s largest convention center in Vietnam.
The prestigious competition will see Mina Sue Choi, who made history as the first beauty queen from South Korea to win the title, crown her next successor.
Aduana vies for the country’s fifth Miss Earth crown following Karen Ibasco’s win in 2017. Other Filipinas who brought home the crown are Karla Henry, who first won the crown in 2008, followed by Jamie Herell in 2014, and Angelia Ong in 2015.
