Need a MySSS Card ASAP? Here's how and where to get one in minutes
Need an SSS ID that doubles as a debit card, but don't want to wait days for it to arrive? You may be able to get your MySSS Card in just a few minutes.
In case you didn't know, the Social Security System—in partnership with Asia United Bank—is offering MySSS Card instant issuance in select bank branches, allowing eligible members to get their physical cards after completing the required online application and registration.
If you're planning to get one, here's everything you need to know.
What can you use the MySSS Card for?
The MySSS Card is the new official functional ID issued by the agency. Apart from serving as an ID for SSS transactions, the card doubles as a debit card and can be used for payments at physical and online stores.
You can open a bank account and automatically link it to your SSS for receiving benefits, loans, and other proceeds.
Eligible applicants include members, prior registrants, pensioners, individual claimants, and representative payees who meet the requirements.
Applicants generally need to have:
- An SSS number tagged as permanent in SSS records
- A registered My.SSS account
- An updated local address, mobile number, and email address on record
- Registration with the Philippine Identification System
How to apply for a MySSS Card
According to AUB, members must first complete the required online application and registration steps to get their card.
Log in to your account on the SSS website and make sure that your personal details—including your name, date of birth, address, mobile number, and email address—are correct and updated in your SSS records.
Afterward, look for the MySSS Card option under the services menu and complete the verification process using the National ID eVerify.
When selecting your financial provider, choose AUB / HelloMoney. You must then download their HelloMoney App on your Apple or Android device and enter your SSS number and the transaction number generated during your application.
Once you've settled the P250 card fee, the app will display a QR code that you can present at a participating instant issuance kiosk.
Make sure to retain your transaction details and have the QR code ready before visiting a branch.
