LIST: How to help victims of Typhoon Uwan
Typhoon Uwan continues to weaken as it moves away from the Ilocos region, leaving two dead and millions displaced as it submerged villages in Catanduanes, Cagayan, Tuguegarao, and more.
Uwan, with a footprint that spanned nearly the entire archipelago, intensified into a super typhoon on Nov. 9 morning and made landfall in Aurora province at 9:10 p.m. Sunday.
It landed days after Typhoon Tino, which left 224 people dead.
The typhoon is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Nov. 11 and to change direction from northwestward to northward.
Ahead of this, several organizations and communities are rallying together to provide relief to those affected by the heavy rains and floods. Here are some accepting donations.
