Maxicare opens its nationwide clinics to all walk-ins

Maxicare Healthcare Corporation opened the doors of its 49 premium clinics nationwide to all Filipinos, including walk-ins.

This move makes it easier for everyone to access state-of-the-art healthcare and professional medical services beyond traditional employer-sponsored HMO coverage.

The announcement came at a time when access to quality healthcare was becoming more urgent. 

An OCTA Research survey of 1,200 Filipino adults found that 67 percent cited staying healthy as their top personal concern this year, while a study conducted by the Boston Consulting Group found that 64 percent of Filipino families said they could not afford a ₱10,000 hospital bill without going into debt.

“When you already feel sick, the last thing you want to do is go through steps one to nine just to see a professional,” said Raymond Hernandez, Maxicare Group Chief Customer Officer.

Starting immediately, anyone with an existing PRIMA prepaid healthcare card can simply walk into any of Maxicare’s 49 clinics to avail themselves of their benefits. Meanwhile, those without a PRIMA card can purchase one on-site and use it immediately, with no prior appointment required. This gives them easy access to Maxicare’s premium clinic experience and services, including doctor consultations as well as on-site laboratory and diagnostic procedures, depending on the PRIMA package.
