LOOK: Quezon Memorial Circle gets new open field, dog park
Looking for more places to hang out in Quezon City?
At the Quezon Memorial Circle, you can now take a breather at new spaces, including the dog park and open field.
Visitors can do different activities at the open field, which spans 12,000 sqm., including sports, recreation, or just hanging out.
The space features a walking path lit by lampposts, a view of the pylon, a pond, and an amphitheater.
According to the QC government, the open field will also have a retention pond and detention tank collecting water from floods to be used for different activities.
Meanwhile, the new dog park comes with play areas and obstacles, in which your fur babies can explore.
The area is covered in grass and trees to keep it cool for pooches.
There are also litter bins for waste and benches where you can sit back as your dog mingles with others.
The open field and dog parks are part of the local government unit's redevelopment program for the QMC.
Earlier in May, a competition-standard skatepark and public tennis court opened at the QMC.
According to an article on the QC government's website, the LGU is also building additional facilities such as a view corridor, a stepped lawn, and courts for basketball, volleyball, futsal, and pickleball.
The QMC houses the Quezon Memorial Shrine, Quezon City Heritage House, Presidential Car Museum, and Bahay Modernismo.
