Camille Prats shares her fitness journey: ‘Changes don't happen overnight’

The 35-year-old actress proved to us that she can be a fitspo mom, not just through her photos and workout videos, but also through her words.

Actress Camille Prats on Friday, June 11, reminded us that her weight loss journey did not happen overnight; rather, it was months of workout sessions and hard work.

“This is what I mean when I say it took a looooot of hard work and consistent quality workout that my husband and I committed to doing for almost a year now. Yes, almost a year. It took us that long to get to where we are fitness-wise and still a work in progress,” she said on her Instagram post.

Along with her post is a page from the book, “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, with highlighted paragraphs about hard work, progress and seeing long-term results instead of instantaneous ones.

Since April last year, Camille only showed us glimpses of her everyday workout routines, from balance challenges to leg days and pilates workouts.

On her Instagram posts, she said that working out helps keep her sane and happy, increases her energy all throughout the day and allows her to play with her children without getting injured. Her workouts also helped correct her posture and eased her discomfort due to her scoliosis.

At the start of the year, the actress said that she is slowly getting to her goals, thanking her husband “who enjoys our sweat sesh together!”

Netizens and even close celebrity friends of Camille started noticing the results of her fitness journey with her husband, as she confidently flaunted her figure in her workout fits and one-piece bikini.

She said that she had been overwhelmed by the kind messages she’s receiving, as well as the comments and DMs asking about her fitness journey. Since April, Camille has shared with her 2.1 million Instagram followers some workout routines she and her husband do on a daily.

The couple also uploaded their highly-requested fitness journey vlog, where they shared tips on what foods they eat, how they choose and do their workouts, and what to keep in mind if one also wants to work out and lose weight.

“Your mood does not determine whether you'll do it or not, regardless whether you feel like doing it, you still do it. You also can't keep giving yourself excuses, you do it. No matter what, you do it. If you just started your fitness journey or whatever it is you committed yourself to doing, keep doing it. Changes don't happen overnight.”
