Alice Guo's Facebook page down amid calls to appear before Senate

Alice Guo's Facebook page can no longer be found and appears to have been taken down.

This comes after the suspended Bamban, Tarlac mayor was called out by Senator Risa Hontiveros. Guo had made a lengthy post on July 12 amid her failure to appear before hearings of the Senate committee on women, children, family relations and gender equality.

Guo maintained that she is Filipino, writing, "Ako po ay isang FILIPINO.

On July 13, the Senate issued arrest orders against Guo and her family members, ex-government official Dennis Cunanan, and her former accountant Nancy Gamo for skipping hearings on the raided POGO hub in her hometown.

Hontiveros later called out Guo on July 15 on Facebook for her absence from hearings.

Guo's former accountant Nancy Gamo was arrested on July 13 and is now under Senate's custody. They, however, failed to find Guo and her family.

In an interview with Unang Balita, the suspended mayor's lawyer Atty. Stephen David said she's still in the Philippines.

An arrest order for Guo was issued "for unduly refusing to appear despite due notices" at hearings on June 26 and July 10.

The suspended mayor asked to be excused from the hearings due to health and mental health concerns, but Hontiveros noted the letter from Guo did not include a medical certificate.
