Kanye West concedes, teases another run for US presidency in 2024
A day after the ballot counting, musician Kanye West conceded defeat in the US election.
Following his last minute campaign for the US presidency, West received 60,000 votes across the 12 states where his name is on the ballot, according to the Associated Press. The rapper drew more than 10,000 votes in Tennesse, a state that Trump has won.
West conceded on social media, posting a photo of his silhouette against a screen of the electoral map, and with the caption, "WELP."
He later deleted this post, and reposted the photo with just the caption, "KANYE 2024."
