Victory Liner offers shuttle program for businesses to transport employees amid oil crisis
Victory Liner has just introduced a new shuttle program to help out businesses amid rising fuel prices.
The bus company is offering its services for local government units and companies that need safe, convenient transport for their employees through its Tatak Bayanihan Shuttle Program.
"This is more than a shuttle. It's bayanihan in motion—keeping businesses running, protecting jobs, and ensuring every Filipino worker gets to work with dignity," Victory Liner wrote on Facebook to announce the "shared-responsibility model."
To qualify for the service, companies will need to enter into a long-term contract with Victory Liner.
The terms are straightforward. Victory Liner will deploy a bus to transport employees daily to businesses joining the initiative.
In turn, companies will be responsible for fueling the bus at retail stations, paying only for diesel, as well as covering the daily wages of the bus crew, amounting to P1,000. The bus crew is made up of one driver and one conductor.
Interested companies may send an email to bizdev@victoryliner.com with the following information: company name, proposed pick-up and drop-off points, daily schedule including the number of trips per day, the estimated length of contract, and the number of buses needed.
After evaluation of the request, Victory Liner will provide a suitable arrangement.
"Our goal remains focused on keeping communities functioning and supporting businesses during these challenging times," wrote Victory Liner in an email sent to PhilSTAR L!fe.
The company also noted that services under the initiative are strictly for essential transport purposes. It is not intended for recreational transportation, such as for summer outings, team-building activities, and other company events outside the scope of regular business operations.
The Department of Energy said on April 7 that the Philippines has enough oil supply for the next 50 days.
