Here's how you can help the victims of Typhoon Rolly
Thousands of people have evacuated their homes and gathered emergency supplies in preparation for Typhoon Rolly (international name Goni), the world's strongest typhoon so far—but still, many were not spared.
At its peak, Rolly packed winds reaching 225 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 310 kph before slamming into the Luzon landmass. Rolly first ripped through the Bicol region, making an initial landfall in Bato, Catanduanes at 4:50 AM on Sunday.
According to the Office for Civil Defense, Rolly left 16 people dead in Bicol. Over two million across the regions were affected according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
To help those affected by the typhoon, a number of organizations have mobilized relief operations and called for donations. Here’s a list where anyone could provide help.
