Herlene Budol in need of Filipino interpreter for Miss Planet International
The manager of Herlene Budol is looking for an official interpreter from Filipino to English and vice versa—ahead of the Miss Planet International in Kampala in Uganda on Nov. 19.
In a Facebook post on Oct. 6, Wilbert Tolentino said there will be "good compensation" for Budol's translator, noting that the applicant should be able to speak in front a large audience and in front of the camera.
"All travel expenses will be paid," Tolentino said, adding that interested applicants may email [email protected].
Budol, who hails from Angono in Rizal, notably answered the Q&A portion of Binibining Pilipinas 2022 in Filipino—and the only contestant at that. She finished first runner-up and bagged seven awards.
The 23-year-old beauty queen has since expressed her intention to answer pageant Q&As in the national language moving forward.
Budol rose to fame as a television host of the variety show Wowowin, going by the moniker "Hipon Girl."
First held in 2019, Miss Planet International seeks "a beautiful woman who truly believes and supports all causes related to conservation efforts being carried out by champions of the planet."
