VietJet to offer Clark–Ho Chi Minh flights starting Nov. 10
Starting Nov. 10, Vietnam's budget carrier, Vietjet Air, will be offering direct flights between Clark International Airport and Ho Chi Minh City.
According to a social media announcement, the new route will have weekly round-trip flights every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday between Clark and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh.
This is a boon to travelers coming from Central and Northern Luzon, giving them a travel option closer to home.
In a statement shared with media, Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp president and CEO Noel Manankil said the new route can strengthen tourism and business between the Philippines and Vietnam.
LIPAD operates and manages Clark International Airport.
According to LIPAD, Vietjet will serve inflight meals that include Vietnamese favorites, such as pho, banh mi, and Vietnamese iced coffee.
The airline has five current routes flying passengers from Manila, Cebu, and Davao to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Da Nang.
