South Korean singer Choi Wheesung was found dead in his home in Seoul. He was 43.

The singer died on March 10, according to Yonhap, but the cause of his death has not yet been determined. Police also said there were no signs of foul play and that a significant amount of time had passed since his death, as per JoongAng Ilbo.

The outlet reported that authorities arrived at Wheesung's home at 6:29 p.m. after a call from his mother.

He was set to meet his manager earlier in the day but was unresponsive. His mother, who lives in the same building, checked on him and called emergency responders.

His agency, Tajoy Entertainment, also confirmed his passing.

"He was found in cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was pronounced dead," their statement read, as per Naver.

"We are so heartbroken to have to deliver this sad news to fans who have sent Wheesung endless support and love. Please pray for the deceased’s soul to rest in peace," it added.

"We earnestly ask that you refrain from spreading unconfirmed rumors and speculative reports for the sake of the bereaved family who are in great shock and sorrow."

Wheesung debuted in 2002 with his first solo album Like A Movie. He's known for R&B and hip-hop songs Insomnia, With Me, Even Thought of Marriage, and Heartsore Story.

From 2011 to 2013, the artist was suspected of using propofol but was later cleared by the court after he said it was to treat a herniated disk and hair loss. Former TV personality Amy later revealed that Wheesung took the drug. He was later found guilty of using the sleep anesthetic habitually.

Wheesung was scheduled for a joint concert with singer KCM on March 15 in Daegu.
