'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' star Kang Myung Joo passes away at 54
K-drama star Kang Myung Joo, who appeared in hit series Extraordinary Attorney Woo, has died. She was 54.
Korean media outlet Maeil Business reported that the actress' passing was confirmed by her daughter, actress Park Se Young on her personal social media page.
"My mother left a long way yesterday afternoon. I would appreciate it if you could remember the stage that my mother loved and the moments when she shone together," Se Young said.
The cause of her death was not specified, though according to the report, Myung Joo was battling cancer in private.
Her funeral is taking place at St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul.
Aside from Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Myung Joo also appeared in other hit K-dramas like Doona! and A Time Called You.
