Lakers set to win 17th title in 'Black Mamba fashion'

Cue some ugly cries at the event the confetti drops tomorrow.

This, as the Los Angeles Lakers look to clinch their 17th NBA title on Game 5 Saturday morning (Manila time)  — in Black Mamba fashion no less.

After suiting up in Kobe Bryant-inspired Nike jerseys in four matches this season and having lost none of those so far, the Lakers are hopeful that Bryant's good luck charm stays kicking as they face Miami Heat again.

The Lakers, led by coach Frank Vogel, Anthony Davis, and Bryant's close pal LeBron James, are at a 3-1 edge at the best-of-seven series. They will win their first championship trophy in 10 years if they close the series out tomorrow.

The Lakers have last worn the uniform in a victorious Game 2 — the print followed a snakeskin design and the numbers had drop shadows alluding to Bryant's rookie uniform in 1996-1997.

Earlier, Kobe's widow Vanessa Bryant posted an Instagram story to express approval and support. "Mamba and Mambacita jerseys approved for game 5... Let's go @lakers."

Bryant, a basketball personality so adulated worldwide he would spawn an entire franchise in his name, died in a helicopter crash last January. He was on board with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other passengers — all of whom also died on impact.

Bryant was 41.
