After two years, the 60th Miss International pageant will light up the stage, this time in Tokyo Dome City Hall, Japan on December 13.

The 57 international beauties from around the globe will finally be able to grace the stage to compete for the crown after the pageant was held off in 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 60th Miss International Beauty Pageant 2022 will be a historical moment as we witness the crowning of the next queen who will be succeeding the lovely and elegant Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand,” organizers announced on Instagram on Monday, May 23.

Outgoing queen Miss International Sireethorn Leearamwat is set to crown her predecessor come December 13 after having to wear the crown since 2019, which makes her the longest title holder in the history of Miss International.

Hannah Arnold of Masbate, crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2019, will be the country’s representative to the prestigious pageant.

On May 3, Arnold posted on Instagram that she is grateful to represent the Philippines and continue on her dream journey.

“This is such exciting news that my MI sisters and I have been praying for. and messaging a lot about. We will surely use this extra time to spread more awareness about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Tuloy ang laban, see you in Japan in December 🇵🇭,” wrote Arnold.

Moreover, Arnold also shared that she is in awe to see herself on the Miss International Page.

“Nakakakilig to see myself on the Miss International page 🥺🥰. A pageant I have admired since my fellow Masbateño Ate Bea Santiago shared an inspirational message full of Hope and gratitude on that stage. A pageant that taught us about cultural understanding when Ate Kylie Versoza raised our flag. A pageant that celebrates beautiful Binibinis and 6 Filipino queens before me,” Hannah wrote in her caption.

“I know we still have a few months until the 2022 pageant, but all of us candidates and the organization are just so excited that everything is starting and that the international audience will be together again in Japan,” Hannah added while expressing her excitement that the pageant is close to coming into reality.

The ladies will carry the advocacies of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and actively take part for worthy causes in their respective countries.

#BeautiesForSDGs is Miss International's humble way to utilize our national titleholders' influence in spreading awareness, as well as actively taking part in SDGs initiatives in their own country or region,” told through a statement from Miss International.

Arnold will be competing in hopes to be the 7th Filipina to bring home the International crown.
