Aspiring Iskolar ng Bayans, take note!
The University of the Philippines (UP) has announced that the applications for the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) for the Academic Year 2026-2027 will begin in March.
As detailed in their announcement, Grade 11 students who are expected to be moving up to Grade 12 at the time of the UPCAT, are eligible to apply for the exam starting on March 3.
The application period will last until March 31 while the exam proper will take place on Aug. 2 and 3, which falls on a weekend.
Following this, applicants must check the UPCAT portal to fill out their grades. Submissions will be accepted from Aug. 4 to 25 after the exam.
The university noted that applicants must have their valid school ID or any government-issued ID on the day of the UPCAT.
The UPCAT consists of four subtests: Language Proficiency, Science, Mathematics, and Reading Comprehension.
According to its website, the standardized scores on these subtests are combined with the composite of final grades in Grades 8 to 11 to determine the admission score.
After taking the UPCAT, you can check their website for announcements and posting of the exam results. You will need the same email account you used for the application to view your results.
If you qualify for admission to the University, you can register according to the instructions provided by the college or unit where you have been accepted.
