From Colombia, Catriona Gray calls for help and donation for typhoon victims
Though Catriona Gray is currently in Colombia to judge the country’s Miss Universe pageant, the Miss Universe 2018 still found a way to raise help for those affected by the recent typhoons.
In a video she posted on her account, Catriona narrated how her hometown of Bicol and now Central Luzon and areas in Metro Manila have been badly hit by the consecutive typhoons Goni (Philippine name Rolly) and now Vamco (local name Ulysses)
Catrion asked donors to contribute to the Red Cross in any way they can.
"I am appealing to the generous donors and kind-hearted people from the Philippines and our friends around the world, please help by donating to the Philippine Red Cross. This donation can help with the current relief and rescue operation and go to toward the distribution of hygiene kits and for non-food and food items that these affected Filipinos so desperately need in this time of crisis," Catriona said.
Yesterday, when Catriona posted on her IG that she was en route to Colombia, a fan questioned why she was travelling in the middle of a typhoon that hit her hometown of Albay no less.
Catriona responded that the invitation was extended months ago and that even though she was away, she was still doing her part in working with the Philippine Red Cross to provide aid and relief to the affected areas.
