Kris Aquino slams fake news about her death, sharing she's in isolation

Kris Aquino has slammed another death hoax about her saying she's currently in isolation amid her battle with multiple autoimmune diseases.

The "Queen of All Media" took to her Instagram account on Friday, Oct. 17, to disprove a fake news report that used an AI-generated photo of her looking frail.

"Friends have been sharing with me probably the 80th bad taste 'wishing KRIS dead post' BUT FROM THE PERSOM in that sick post YOU ARE A LIAR! 'supposedly i was laughing at a family gathering then [I ]collapsed' plus an AI photo of me looking like [I][ was fighting for my life was included," she wrote. She included a photo of herself taken on Wednesday night while she was reading a James Patterson book on her iPad.

She went on to express concerns about her treatment.

"I’ve questioned what it would be like IF my situation got worse after an infusion and my doctors came to my hospital room after an infusion that just like during another test dose that my body reacted so safely to, this was now proving to be so wrong for my body and proving to help the harmful and deadly autoimmune disease cells near my lungs and heart at a very alarming rate and within 3 days I could have a stroke, a heart attack, an aneurysm or cardiac arrest," she wrote.

"My doctors (a team of 7 for this infusion) kept asking me if I was sure because while doing my test dose, my body reacted weird to the steroid I needed to take with RITUXAN; 4 of my autoimmune problems affect my lungs and about 6 affect my heart yet my pulmonologist and cardiologist gave her and his go signal. Thank God they did," she added.

Aquino disclosed she's currently isolated because her immunity is "very low." She's accompanied by her sons, Josh and Bimby, who are only allowed to be with her if they've stayed at home and taken a shower, and completed the 5-in-1 test for COVID, RSV, ADENO, MP (Mycoplasma pneumoniae), and the FLU.

She added that her time in isolation has allowed her to read books from her favorite authors.

The media personality said she's not yet in full remission, but the red flares on her face and her dry cough have improved.

"Let’s keep praying. God is listening," she concluded.

Fans and personalities, including Carmina Villarroel and Dr. Ging Zamora, expressed their support in the comments section.

In August, Aquino revealed that she will be placed in a six-month preventive isolation in their compound in Tarlac.

Aquino has been diagnosed with several autoimmune diseases while dealing with fibromyalgia, which triggers pain and tenderness throughout the body; polymyositis, an inflammatory disease that leads to muscle weakness; and mixed connective tissue disease, which combines disorders such as lupus, scleroderma, and polymyositis.

She went to the United States in June 2022 to undergo treatment and returned to the Philippines in September 2024.
