Disneyland visitor dies after riding Haunted Mansion attraction
A woman died after riding the Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland, authorities said.
According to Fox News, the Anaheim Police Department confirmed the incident to the media outlet, saying it happened Monday evening, Oct. 6.
"Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to the Disneyland Resort for an unresponsive woman in her 60s who had just finished riding the Haunted Mansion attraction," they said, noting that no further details will be disclosed for now "out of respect for the family."
Per police, it appears to be "an unfortunate medical episode."
"Our thoughts go out to the family," they added.
A Disneyland representative also confirmed to Fox News that the guest was taken to a nearby hospital after a medical emergency, but was declared dead later in the day.
The cause of her death is yet to be determined.
The Haunted Mansion attraction reopened shortly after what happened, with police noting that no operating issue was found with it.
